Bay Tal Mal, a restaurant offering authentic Moro cuisine since 1986, is situated at the 4th level of SM Mindpro. We ordered latal and mee goreng. Latal, is a set/tasting menu composed of 10 moro cuisines at small portions. At the center of the dish is the tiyulah itum, composed of braised beef in black soup, which is the tinola version of the tausug. Mee goreng is a stir-fried noodle dish with boiled egg. Overall, the food is good and the service is fast.

I was searching for Moro cuisine and it brought me here. I ordered Chicken Kiyaliya, chicken with coconut (sauce/curry?) & Tiyulah Itum (beef stew - which was very spicy for me) Food was only OK, no wow factor. I think they should work more on the presentation.

My first time to try muslim cuisine in this restaurant and I love it! My favorites include the beef kulma and tiula itum. The place has a wonderful, intricate design and accommodating, polite servers. Highly recommended!

First time for me to try tiolang itum, a Tausug-Muslim version of tinola but with beef and charred coconut. Loved it. The staff is friendly too. Check it out if you’re in town.
